ELECTRIFIES THE ROAD.

ELECTRIFIES THE ROAD.

Charged with energy: The BMW 225xe iPerformance Active Tourer combines tried-and-tested flexibility and outstanding fuel consumption with typical BMW driving dynamics. Thanks to BMW eDrive technology from BMW EfficientDynamics, a range of up to 41 kilometres in the purely electric mode is possible – without any local emissions and practically in silence. Perfect for trips through the city!

RAISES THE BAR HIGHER THAN ANY SKYLINE.

RAISES THE BAR HIGHER THAN ANY SKYLINE.

Reaching new heights with great efficiency: An extremely efficient Drive concept is a hallmark of the plug-in hybrid. This basically consists of a combustion engine at the front of the vehicle and an electric motor on the rear axle. Depending on the situation and the charge level of the high-voltage battery, both are capable of powering the plug-in hybrid either individually or together. When only the combustion engine is active, the drive power is delivered via the front wheels. While the electric motor, for its part, delivers power to the rear wheels. According to the situation, therefore, the BMW 225xe iPerformance Active Tourer becomes a BMW with xDrive.

SHAPES THE FACE OF THE CITY. SUSTAINABLY.

Its origins can be felt at once. The source of this propulsion is also apparent at first sight. The characteristic blue slats of the kidney grill and wheel hubs of the BMW 225xe iPerformance Active Tourer stand for innovative and powerful thrust. Thanks to the large kidney grille and the large continuous air inlet, the BMW 225xe iPerformance Active Tourer also creates a sportier and more dynamic effect. Typical BMW, yet uniquely different.

CITY CENTRE.

Full of energy, in the interior as well. The BMW 225xe iPerformance Active Tourer puts the driver in a unique mood. And position, because thanks to the elevated seats, all passengers enjoy a special view. Take a seat and experience new horizons.

“Apart from outstanding efficiency and perfect everyday utility, BMW eDrive also meets the maximum standard of driving dynamics and quality typical of BMW.”
Stefan Juraschek, Head of Electric Powertrains with the BMW Group.

ITS ENERGY IGNORES CITY LIMITS.

ITS ENERGY IGNORES CITY LIMITS.

Everything electrified: Intelligent energy management is one of the main pillars of the BMW iPerformance concept. This system coordinates the interaction of all BMW drive components with the electric motor in order to combine the best possible efficiency with great driving dynamics, and to increase the electric range.
The eDrive button allows the driver to choose between three electric drive modes: the AUTO eDRIVE mode, the purely electric MAX eDRIVE mode and the SAVE BATTERY mode, which maintains the charging status at a constant level.
