A true BMW exudes dynamism and elegance even when stationary. And that's certainly the case with our concept car. A key characteristic of the BMW Concept Speedtop is its profile. It is truly unique in the automotive industry. The result is a distinctive design which stands out across the entire range of vehicles, especially the Touring models.

Longing for that special moment.

The BMW Concept Speedtop is a masterpiece of automotive craftsmanship, created for special moments. Many of the materials have been meticulously prepared, combined and refined by hand – with a passion for precision that sparks emotions. This unbeatable attention to detail is conveyed in the BMW Concept Speedtop: with it's first-rate manufacturing quality, hand-selected materials, stylish exclusivity, and a timeless elegance.

Distinct proportions, exclusive details.

The BMW Concept Speedtop is defined by its sleek, narrow profile and the distinct shape of the shark nose. The BMW Speedtop is the ultimate and most exclusive embodiment of the long standing BMW Touring model tradition.

The vehicle’s elegance is emphasised by two-tone rims in a 14-spoke fan design, specifically designed for the BMW Concept Speedtop.

Exterior highlight central spine.

An eye-catching highlight of the exterior design is the flowing transition of the central spine from the hood across the roof and up to the rear spoiler. This contour is given additional emphasis by a colour gradient on the roof from “Floating Sunstone Maroon” to “Floating Sundown Silver”.

Highest level of craftmanship.

The sparkling brown exterior paintwork in “Floating Sunstone Maroon” carries over into the interior. Here, the brown “Sundown Maroon” colour scheme blends harmoniously with the pale “Moonstone White” of the seats. The two-tone leather trim forms a visual distinction between the dynamic and functional areas of the interior.

The distinctive exterior roof spine is reflected in the interior as an illuminated gap in the headlining, finished in two-tone leather, which also serves as indirect atmospheric lighting. The luggage compartment is also finished in Budapest style perforated leather. An illuminated gap lights up the luggage compartment, which can also be used to carry larger items for longer trips thanks to its partition design. The elaborate craftsmanship of the exterior and interior has been achieved thanks to the expertise of the manufacturing workshop at the BMW Group Plant Dingolfing.

An invitation to dream.

A vehicle as a rolling sculpture – and a collector‘s item inspired with emotion: the BMW Concept Speedtop continues the tradition of global premieres at the Concorso d‘Eleganza Villa d‘Este, awakening a desire for pleasurable driving. This design is also an invitation to dream because it will be produced as a strictly limited, exclusive small series of 70 models. Therefore showing that a passion for the ultimate driving experience will still be essential in future.

The unique indirect lighting of the headlining takes the form of a long illuminated gap that creates a balanced combination in the interior between the brown “Sundown Maroon” colour scheme and the pale “Moonstone White” of the seats. The illuminated gap also reflects the shape of the exterior spine, thus creating the perfect connection between exterior and interior.
