Recycling of end-of-life vehicles.

The recycling process for end-of-life vehicles takes place at authorised dismantling facilities. Vehicles are recycled in a manner that aims to optimise environmental protection and economic value. Key to this is the recovery of valuable materials so they are placed back into the production cycle.

Four stages are in place to make sure that end-of-life vehicles are recycled in an environmentally sound manner: the controlled return of the vehicle, pre-treatment, dismantling and recycling.
