The top-of-the-range BMW TwinPower Turbo eight-cylinder petrol engine with two parallel turbochargers delivers maximum torque of 600 Nm that remains constant over a wide rev range, from 1,750 to 4,500 rpm. The engine produces 300 kW ( 408 hp) to achieve impressive acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. And thanks to High Precision Injection (HPI), maximum efficiency is extracted due to precisely-measured doses of fuel being injected into the combustion chamber, while double-Vanos distributes the torque optimally across the speed range.
