The performance weight of the BMW M5.

The lightweight concept forms an integral part of M5's construction resulting in a total power-to-weight ratio of just 3.6 kg/bhp. It's not just the weight that's typical of sports cars: the M5's greater agility, higher on-bend speeds and excellent handling also come straight from the racetrack. Other weight-cutting features include the all-aluminium chassis, low-weight front section and V10 engine, whose structure is exceptionally compact and light.
