The eight-cylinder petrol engines.

The larger displacement of the eight-cylinder powerplants increases power output to 270 kW (367 bhp) in the BMW 750i and 750Li, and 225 kW (306 bhp) in the BMW 740i and 740Li. Even at high engine speeds, the V8s remain vibration-free, thanks to their precise mass distribution. Valvetronic, the fully-variable valve control system, ensures the engines breathe freely. The result is breathtaking performance: the BMW 750i, for example, needs just 5.9 seconds from zero to 100 km/h.
