The new V8 reaches its maximum torque output of 700 Nm at just 1,750 rpm; maximum power (220 kW / 300 bhp) at 4,000 rpm. With its aluminium crankcase, the turbo powerplant is thirty kilograms lighter than its predecessor. Innovative piezo fuel injection technology delivers improved responsiveness plus reduced consumption, and a particle filter is fitted as standard.
