Adaptive Headlights.

The BMW 5 Series Saloon with optional Adaptive Headlights puts winding roads in a new light. Sensors permanently monitor the Saloon's speed, yaw and front-wheel steering angle; the system can then calculate the path of the road ahead. Electromechanical motors swivel the xenon headlight units to direct the beam to exactly where the Saloon is heading. The result: greatly improved illumination and increased safety, especially on winding roads.
