How do you improve an engine that has already won the Engine of the Year Award several times? With an eye for detail and a new concept: The BMW TwinPower Turbo straight six-cylinder engine in the BMW 135i uniquely combines a TwinScroll turbocharger with Valvetronic and direct petrol injection. The result: an enormous 225 kW (306 hp) catapult the BMW 1 Series Coupé from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds. The BMW 125i needs just 6.4 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h with a top speed of 245 km/h and 160 kW (218 PS). And thanks to High Precision Injection, power delivery is not only explosive, but also extremely efficient.
